The Caldecott Award​ is a prestigious award given to illustrators that provide a visual experience through storyline, theme and a series of pictures for ages up to 14. This award is named after Randolph Caldecott: an english artist who created marvelous illustrations in many mediums.

The Newbery Award is named after John Newbery who is known as: "The Father of Children's Literature". The medal is awarded annually to a book that is a distinguished contribution to American literature.

The Geisel Award is awarded to beginning reader books. Named after Dr. Seuss his legal last name is Geisel and his middle name is Seuss. He accomplished many things in his life such as political cartoons, screen writing and most famously his work writing and illustrating over 60 books.
